EndowmentThe Dr. Vivenne Malone-Mayes Baylor Black Alumni Club Endowed Scholarship Fund was endowed at $10,000.
Our current balance is $27,000. The principal is invested with U. S. Trust at 10 percent interest. The interest earned is awarded to the scholarship recipient each year.
Currently, we are able to award one scholarship for $1,000, payable in two disbursements: $500 in the fall and $500 in the spring.
When the organization is able to accumulate $50,000 or more, the organization will be inducted into the Baylor University Endowment Society.
