Alumni CouncilIn July 2007, Baylor Alumni Association President George Cowden III made appointments to the Alumni Council, a special group of advisors and ambassadors for the association whose more than seventy members represent key constituent and demographic groups throughout the Baylor family. The Alumni Council is a formal committee of the association's Board of Directors and will be invited to participate in both the BAA's upcoming fall directors meeting and the annual membership meeting at Homecoming. "The inclusive and open nature of this council will certainly be a complement to the association and a positive message to the Baylor family," Cowden said.
"The Alumni Council provides the leadership of the Baylor Alumni Association with a rich diversity of perspectives in how we best go about doing our work serving our alumni and Baylor University," said Jeff Kilgore, executive vice president of the Baylor Alumni Association. "The members' record of individual service, along with the recognition they have brought to our university, testifies to the wisdom, influence, and reputation of this group. I look forward to the strength and support they bring to our Board of Directors, Past Presidents Council, and Executive Council of the Sesquicentennial Campaign. I will certainly be all ears and welcome this open dialogue."
