A long-time teacher of German and world geography, Bette is now a department chair at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas. She also teaches a Bible study class at Park Cities Baptist Church and was the 1995 Woman of Distinction of the Baylor University Women's Council of Dallas. She and her husband, Paul, a Baylor Alumnus by Choice, have lived in Mesquite for several years, but they are currently building a home in East Texas.
