Emily Tinsley and her husband, Richard '61, live in Houston. A former regent for the university, Emily currently serves on the advisory council for the College of Arts and Sciences. She is a homemaker and an active volunteer, also serving on the boards of the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System and the Memorial Hermann Hospital. She and Richard are members of South Main Baptist Church, and they have two children, Robyn '88 and Allison Tinsley Maier.
