George is an attorney in private practice and is also the general counsel for Baptist Child and Family Services. He and his wife, Shirley Swatzell Cowden '76, are members of Woodland Baptist Church, where George is a deacon and teaches an adult Sunday School class. They have two children--Hallie Cowden Wallace and George.
