Jim earned an MHA degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and now serves as president and CEO of Valley Baptist Health System. He is a director for the Baylor Bear Foundation and a member of First Baptist Church of Harlingen. He is also a recipient of the Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the Baylor Alumni Association. Jim and his wife, Teri Trull Springfield '87, have four children--Jordan, Tanner, and twins Cydney and Ashley.
