Joan is a realtor and the owner of Williams Trew Real Estate Services. A recipient of the W. R. White Meritorious Service Award, Joan has served on the board of advisors for Truett Seminary and for several years was a judge for the Entrepreneurial Program in the Hankamer School of Business. She has served on the boards of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, the Fort Worth Downtown Rotary Club, and Dallas Baptist University, and she received the "Great Women of Texas" award in 2002. She is a member of Agape Baptist Church of Fort Worth. Joan and her husband, Philip Trew Sr., are the parents of three Baylor graduates--Jan Huggins Barry '72, Deborah Huggins Morgan '75, and Philip Trew Jr. '85.
